Teddy bears picnic

What an exciting day we've had. Today we bought our teddies to school so we could celebrate as a school by having a teddy bears picnic.
It was so cool to meet all the bears (or toys).
We had big, small, soft, hairy and some unusual.
When we had lunch we sat beside our big Room 15 buddies. Check us out enjoying our picnic.

Painting time

Today we had to exercise lots of carefulness when we added to our self portraits. We painted on our skin colour. It was tricky to stay inside the outlines and to use just the right amount of paint..... They're looking fantastic.

Stay tuned to hear what we do with them next.

Our councillors introduced

At assembly on Friday each class's nominated councillors stood up the front with Mr Hewson so the school knew who they all were. Room 11's two councillors Joe and Jack were up there amongst them all. Thanks for taking on this role for the year boys. We look forward to hearing your first lot of news after this Fridays council meeting.

Starting our self portraits

On Friday we all got mirrors and step by step started to draw our faces. We needed to look at the shapes of different parts of our face and also where the parts sat in relation to other parts. It was quite tricky, but Mrs Robertson thinks our portraits all turned out great!
