We had a treat today! Room 7 performed some wonderful plays for us. We watched the three pigs, red riding hood and the little red hen. Mahi Pai Room 7!

Wombat Stew!
We had Piper's mum in our class yesterday. She read us Wombat stew and we had animals, bugs, mud, creepy crawlies and gumnuts to put into the stew pot. We had lots of fun.Thanks Rachel!

Punga Mural!
Yippee! It's nearly finished. Mieke and some of the Punga children have been working on this gorgeous creation with our Punga vision on it. Willow and Makai were the Room 11 artists. Ka Pai to mahi!

CRICKET SKILLS
We had a lovely time in the sun playing cricket with Mike and Greg. We learnt some new skills and got some sunglasses and a ball and bag to take home. Such fun!

Sunflower planting
Jen planted at home a sunflower seed which grew into a sunflower plant. She bought this to school and we have been carefully caring for it in our classroom. On Friday we decided it had grown big enough for her to plant,so along with Mrs Wentworth we planted it in the school's edible garden. We look forward to summer when hopefully we will see a big sunflower.

Speech Winner!
Room11 were so proud of our Piper on Tuesday for her big effort in the school speech competition. Her speech about something that is special to her, was about her Great Grandad. Piper was first place in the Punga syndicate. Mahi pai Piper!
